The most persistent misconception in enterprise AI governance is treating these frameworks as a menu — as if an organisation picks one and builds around it. They are an integrated system where every framework generates inputs or outputs for at least two others. Red team findings flow into model cards and risk register entries. Monitoring alerts trigger incident response procedures. Incident post-mortems update risk register entries and model cards. The governance board reviews FAIR-quantified risk register rankings to prioritise remediation.
